More Details About Air Pollution

Air pollution is the polluted air conditions with the material, foreign substances or other components in the air that causes changing the order of the air by human activities or natural processes, so that air quality can be less or no longer functions in accordance with destining. Air pollution affects living systems of living things such as health problems, associated with the human ecosystem

The types of air pollution :

  • According to the form: Gas, This breaks
  • According to a place: Room (indoor), free air (outdoor)
  • Health problems: Iritansia, asphyxia, anetesia, toxic
  • According to the origin: Primary, secondary
Materials or substances of air pollution can take the form of gases and particles :
Gaseous air pollution can be divided into:
  • Group consists of sulfur Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) and Sulfate Aerosol.
  • Group consists of Nitrogen Nitrogen Oxide (N2O), Nitrogen Monoxide (NO), ammonia (NH3) and Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2).
  • Carbon Group consists of Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Hydrocarbons.
  • Class of dangerous gas consisting of Benzene, Vinyl Chloride, mercury vapor.
Shaped particles of air pollution can be divided into :
  • Mineral (inorganic) can be toxic such as mercury and lead.
  • Organic materials consisting of hydrocarbon bond, chlorination Alkan, Benzene.
Living things composed of bacteria, virus, worm eggs.
Impact of air pollution on health indirectly.

In addition to the direct impact of air pollution on human health / individual, also an indirect impact on health. SO2 effects on vegetation are known to cause bleaching on the part of the bone or the edge of the leaf. Emissions by Fluorine (F), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) and Ozone (O3) cause disruption process of assimilation in plants. In vegetable crops affected / Pb-containing pollutants that ultimately had the potential public health hazard if the plants are in the sa-yuran consumption by humans.
